How To Plan An Easter Egg Hunt

When we talk about the month of April, we cannot help but think of Easter Sunday. It is on this day that we celebrate new life and new beginnings. Amidst all the fun and festivities, Easter Sunday will never be complete without an Easter egg hunt.

If you ask your children right now what they want to do on Easter, you would probably get the same answer – Have an Easter Egg Hunt! The tradition of egg hunting was said to have started because the ancient people believed that the eggs symbolized life and resurrection. Up until the modern times, we have preserved this tradition as part of our Easter celebration.

Planning an Easter egg hunt can be very fun and challenging at the same time. You have to be creative all through out to ensure that your kids and their friends will have a great time. The Process

The first thing that you should do is to decorate and brighten up your house. The best way to create the “party atmosphere” is by putting party ornaments all around the place. You can use balloons and Easter decorations (i.e. Easter eggs, rabbits).

Once you have finished decorating the house, move on with preparing the Easter eggs. To make the Easter eggs more appealing to the kids, you can load the eggs with children’s stuffs like candies, money (coins will do) and toys. The next phase is to think of creative ways where you can hide the eggs. Remember that the ages of the children may vary. To ensure fairness and that each child will find an egg, you can institute “color-coding”. Take the following example:

• Kids aging 2-4 years old will find the RED-colored eggs.
• Kids aging 4-6 years old will find the YELLOW-colored eggs.
• Kids aging 6-8 years old will find the BLUE-colored eggs. And so on and forth.
