If you had $50,000 and 72 hours to spend it – how would you spend it?

This is a fun discussion, and not an offer. Your participation is welcomed and encouraged.

Imagine for a moment – that you are offered $50,000 (tax free) but had to decide how to use it within 72 hours or less.

Would you save it, pay bills, spend it on yourself, spend it on someone else, donate it to charity, invest it, or something else?

With Christmas just a few days away, it would be interesting to see how the holiday might affect our judgement. Please share your thoughts with a quick comment to this post. While I would love for someone to feel inspired by the comments and make dreams come true by giving away money, that is not likely to happen. It is more likely that we will see others who share our way of thinking, and that would make us feel more connected. I suspect there are a few of you that might have some interesting alternatives to spending the money. Have fun with this, but please keep it clean.

I’d pay a year of rent on my house then take my kids to get new beds, stuff for their room, some furniture that’s not falling apart, clothes, and food. I’d probably pay off my student loan as well.
